Worrell <br /> <br />Guests: <br /> <br />Mrs. Archie Weatherford, Mrs. Jerri Veidt <br /> <br />The meetihg was called to order by the Mayor. <br /> <br />Mrs. Archie Weatherford appeared before the Council to request a <br />sewer line into her property., Mrs. Weatherford was told the matter <br />wOuld be investigated to be placed on the planned sewer extension <br />program. <br /> <br />Councilman Stokes enquired about the City's policy on extension of <br />sewer lines. City Manager Fuller stated the City extends the line <br />the first 60 feet; the owner hears the expense of the halanceof the line. <br /> <br />The following resolution was introduced by Coullcilman Younger, read in <br />full and considered: <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />/9~2 '9-f:: <br /> <br />"RESOLUfION CANVASSING RETURNS AND DECLARING <br />RESULTS OF A SPECIAL URBAN RENEWAL ELECT ION <br />HELD ON SEPTEMBER 18, 1962. <br /> <br />THE STATE OF TEXAS <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS <br />COUNTY OF HAYS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, under and by virtue o.f a Special ,Urban Renewal Election Ordinance <br />duly passed hy the City Council on August 14, 1962, a Special Urban Renewal <br />Election was held in the City of San Marcos, Texas, on the proposition of <br />whether the voters of the City of ,San Marcos ,were in favor of or against the <br />adoption hy the city Council of a resolution making certain findings, detemin- <br />ations and elections under and pursuant to the Urban Renewal Law of Texas <br />(said resolution being more fully set forth in the .form of ballot prescribed <br />in said Special Urban Renewal Election Ordinance and in the notice of public <br />hearing to consider ,whether said election should be ordered); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, upon consideration of the returns of said election, it ,appears that <br />same was in all respects legally held after due notice had been given and that <br />said returns were duly and legally made; and, <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it further appears from said returns that there were cast in said <br />election 794 votes on the proposition of whether the City Council should <br />adopt an 'Urban 'Renewal Resolution under and pursuant to the Urban Renewal Law <br />of Texas as aforesaid, o.f which number 703 votes were cast in favor of the <br />"adoption of said :resolution hy the Ci tyCouncll,and 83 vote~ wete cast <br />against the adoption or silidresolution" by the City Council; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS: <br /> <br />~ <br />
