<br />fhe Mayor Pro-Tern called the meeting to orde~ at 0:30 p.m.
<br />The Rev. Maynard Rich of Campus Christian Community gave the Invocation.
<br />
<br />The Minutes of the previous meetings were approved as presented.
<br />
<br />Mayor Pro-Tem Younger administered the oath of office to the Mayor-elect,
<br />Frank D. Taylor, and to Aldermen-elect William C. Pool and Ruben Ruiz.
<br />
<br />Alderman Stokes moved that the new Council officially take over the
<br />conquct of the meeting. Alderman Ruiz seconded the motion, which passed
<br />unanimOUSly.
<br />
<br />" As the retiring Mayor Pro-Tern relinquished the chair, Alderman Swift
<br />1/~proposed a Resolution commending Mr. Younger's service to the community
<br />I,q~~', both as Alderman, and as Mayor Pro-Tern since the death of Mayor C.M. Allen
<br />. l~ on Nov. 17, 1962. The Resolution was una ously endorsed by the Council.
