ADJOURNED SESSION OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF APRIL 12, 1965, OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, HELD APRI L 19, 1965 Present: Mayor Ellis Serur I Aldermen: Joe C. Froh Wi II i am C. Hill The Mayor called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. I As .the first order of business, the Mayor read aloud a letter of re$ignation from Kenneth E. Sutton, Recorder of the Corporation Court, .underdate of Apri 1 14, 1965. The letter is attached as a part of the Minutes. Alderman Tuttle moved the, acceptance of the resignation. Alderman Froh second- ed ,the motion and on rpl I cal I, the following vote was recorded: AYE: Froh. Pool, Tuttle~ Whittenberg NAY: None The Mayor declared the motion carried. Alderman Tuttle introduced an ordinance appointing Dr. Ben A. Copass as Recorder of Corporation Court, and moved its adoption. Alderman Whittenberg seconded the motion and on roll call, the fol lowing vote was recorded: AYE: NAY: Froh, Pool, Tuttle, Whittenberg None The Mayor declared the Ordinance Passed, Approved and Adopted. I The Mayor cal led to the attention of the Counci I the necessity of appointing members to the Board of Equalization. A number of names were submitted and their qualifications discussed. Alderman Pool moved that Albert Aranda, L.F. Martin, Steve Gregg and Searcy Smith, in that order, be asked to serve as members and alternate for the Board of Equalization.
