Wh i ttenberg <br /> <br />Visitors: <br /> <br />Mrs. Carolyn Chandler, Mrs. Jerri Veidt <br /> <br />The Mayor called the meeting to order at 11:00 a.m, <br />Counci Imen signed "Consent to Meeting". <br /> <br />The Mayor introduced an Ordinance, caption of which IS as <br />fo II ows : <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE REQUIRING ONE-WAY TRAFFIC ON CERTAIN <br />PORTIONS OF THE ACCESS ROADS PARALLEL TO INTER- <br />STATE 35; PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR VIOLATION; <br />CONTAINING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; AND, ESTABLISHING <br />AN EFFECTIVE DATE <br /> <br />The Ordinance, attached as a part of the Minutes, was <br />read and discussed. Dr. Pool expressed the considered <br />opinion that the one-way provision should extend beyond <br />the Highway 123 intersection. Alderman Damon said Red- <br />wood Road would be the natural place to designate for the <br />extension of the one-way provision. Action was deferred <br />on the Ord i nance unt i I City Manager Fu II er had conferred <br />with engineers of the State Highway Department by telephone. <br />Upon Mr. Fuller's report that "The State Highway Department <br />would welcome the longer one-way. feature on the access roads", <br />Alderman Pool moved adoption of the Ordinance. Alderman <br />Tuttle seconded the motion, and on 1"01 I cal" the following <br />vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: Damon, Pool, Tuttl~ <br />NAY: None <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the Ordinance Passed, Approved and <br />Adopted. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The City Manager provided Councilmen with copies of bids <br />received on purchase of B pick-up truck by the City, see <br />attached. Alderman Damon ascertained that the low bid <br />complied with all specifications. Alderman Tuttle moved <br />that the low bid of Jack ,Hughes Motors be accepted.
