<br />The Mayor called ~he meeting to order at 7:30 p.m.

<br />Minutes of the meet i ngs he I d on February 14, 1966 and
<br />March I, 1966 were unan i mous I y approved as presented, on
<br />motion of Alderman Damon and second of Atderman Pool.
<br />
<br />The Mayor introduced the matter of a water line to the recently
<br />annexed property of C.C. Holt on I 35. The City Manager eXplain-
<br />ed that Mr. Holt's property lies approximately 700 feet from an
<br />existing 2-inch water line. Mr. Holt had agreed to pay the cost
<br />of a 2-inch line, if the City will install a 6-inch line. Since
<br />the property along I 35 wi I I be developed in the near future,
<br />requiring installation of a 6-inch line, the City Manager recom-
<br />mended that the Counci I accept Mr. Holt's offer. Estimated cost
<br />of the 2-inch line is $770; cost of the 6-inch line is estimated
<br />at $1408.00. The matter was discussed. Mr. Holt was present
<br />and stated he was agreeable to this arrangement. Alderman Pool
<br />moved that the City Manager's recommendation be accepted, and the
<br />6-inch line authorized. Alderman Damon seconded the motion and
<br />on rol I call, the fol lowing vote was recorded:

<br />The Mayor declared the motion carried.
<br />
<br />The Mayor introduced business deferred from the previous
<br />meeting: a request of Fr. Richard Trevino, pastor of St.
<br />John's Church, that the City trade a wedge of park property
<br />for an equal amount of adjacent church property, in order
<br />that they might face the proposed new church bui Iding on
<br />East Hopkins, instead of Riverside Drive. The Mayor stated
