Gar I and Stokes, <br />Jerri Veidt <br /> <br />The Mayor cal led the special meeting to order at 3:00 p.m. <br /> <br />The City Manager reported that Act i on Ut i 1 it i es, I nc. of San <br />Antonio had entered the low bid for water and sewer construction <br />in Hughson Heights Subdivision. The bids were received and open- <br />ed publicly on January 19, 1968, and after tabulation and checking, <br />Action Utilities, Inc.'s bid of $135,538.10 was found to be the <br />low bid. Alderman Korff moved that the Mayor be authorized to <br />execute a contract with Action Uti I ities, Inc. for the low bid <br />of $135,538.10. Alderman Damon seconded the motion and on rol I <br />call, the following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: Craddock, Damon, Korff, Serur <br />NAY: None <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the motion carried. <br /> <br />!J!!w <br /> <br />was under preparation. <br /> <br />Mr. Bean said a contract with H. Garland Stokes, developer of ~ <br />Hughson Heights, for the rebate rovided for in the amendment to <br />the Subdivision Ordinance! It was explained that Mr. Stokes would <br />pay the total amount of the contract with Action Utilities, Inc., <br />and as connections were made for the 140 lots in Hughson Heights 'd <br />I.GIC meEk, the rebate would be~. Mr. Korff moved that the fJadcw' <br />Mayor be authorized to execute the contract with developers of " . <br />Hughson Heights, as set forth in the amended Subdivision Ordinance. <br />Mr. Damon seconded the motion and on rol I call, the following <br />vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: <br />NAY: <br /> <br />Craddock, Damon, Korff, Serur <br />None <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the motion carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Bean requested that the City Manager be authorized to invest <br />any surplus funds accruing in the City's bank account, in Govern- <br />ment Securities. Mr. Damon moved that the City Manager be auth- <br />orized to invest surplus City funds in Government Securities; and <br />that such purchases be reported at regular meetings.
