Dannelley <br />Hollis W. Smith <br />Jerry Zavesky <br /> <br />City Manager <br />City Secretary <br /> <br />Richard G. Bean <br />,Dorothy O. Worrell <br /> <br />Absent: Councilman <br /> <br />Luciano H. Flores <br /> <br />Absent , first half meeting,Councilman <br /> <br />Wm. C. Pool, Ph.D. <br /> <br />Visitors: <br /> <br />Jerri Veidt; Ross King and Frank Watson <br />after 3:30 p.m. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The Mayor called the meeting to order at 2:30 p.m. and declared <br />the Public Hearing on annexation of a portion of Westover Addition <br />to be in session. No one came forward to speak on the proposed <br />annexation. Residents who had presented a petition at the regular <br />meeting, Monday night, were not present, but their protest was <br />considered by the Council. The City Manager.showed on a map of <br />the area how residents would be served by water ahtl sewer lines. <br />He stated that all but two houses involved in the annexation <br />could be served. The Mayor read aloud a letter from L.F. "Red" <br />Jurecka, requesting that his property be excluded from the pro= <br />posed annexation. The Mayor expressed the opinion that the annex- <br />ation should be aeferred for a year, and that the property owners <br />be placed on notice that they would eventually be annexed. <br />Dr. Craddock moved adoption of the Annexation Ordinance. <br />Mr. Zavesky seconded the motion and on roll call. the following <br />vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE; <br />NAY: <br /> <br />Craddock, Dannelley, Zavesky <br />Serur, Smith <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the Ordinance Passed, Approved and Adopted. <br /> <br />Dr. Craddock moved adoption of an ordinance annexing the Kyle <br />property on Lamar Street, on final reading. Mr. Smith seconded <br />the motion and on roll call, the following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: <br />NAY; <br /> <br />Craddock, Dannelley, Serur, Smith, Zavesky <br />None <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the Ordinance Passed, Approved and Adopted. <br /> <br />Mr. Smith moved adoption of an ordinance annexing the San Marcos <br />Properties' tract on Lamar Street, for final reading. Mr. Zavesky <br />seconded the motion and on roll call. the following vote was <br />recorded; <br /> <br />AYE: <br />NAY; <br /> <br />Craddock, Oannelley. Serur, Smith, Zavesky <br />None <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the Ordinance Passed. Approved and Adopted. <br />
