./J I ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY OF THE CitY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS PUBLIC HEARING HELD JANUARY 28, 1969, COUNCIL AND 2; 30 PM Present: Mayor Ellis Serur I Councilmen: Emmie Craddock, Ph.D. Ronald J. Dannelley Hollis W. Smith Jerry Zavesky City Manager City Secretary Richard G. Bean ,Dorothy O. Worrell Absent: Councilman Luciano H. Flores Absent , first half meeting,Councilman Wm. C. Pool, Ph.D. Visitors: Jerri Veidt; Ross King and Frank Watson after 3:30 p.m. I The Mayor called the meeting to order at 2:30 p.m. and declared the Public Hearing on annexation of a portion of Westover Addition to be in session. No one came forward to speak on the proposed annexation. Residents who had presented a petition at the regular meeting, Monday night, were not present, but their protest was considered by the Council. The City Manager.showed on a map of the area how residents would be served by water ahtl sewer lines. He stated that all but two houses involved in the annexation could be served. The Mayor read aloud a letter from L.F. "Red" Jurecka, requesting that his property be excluded from the pro= posed annexation. The Mayor expressed the opinion that the annex- ation should be aeferred for a year, and that the property owners be placed on notice that they would eventually be annexed. Dr. Craddock moved adoption of the Annexation Ordinance. Mr. Zavesky seconded the motion and on roll call. the following vote was recorded: AYE; NAY: Craddock, Dannelley, Zavesky Serur, Smith The Mayor declared the Ordinance Passed, Approved and Adopted. Dr. Craddock moved adoption of an ordinance annexing the Kyle property on Lamar Street, on final reading. Mr. Smith seconded the motion and on roll call, the following vote was recorded: AYE: NAY; Craddock, Dannelley, Serur, Smith, Zavesky None I The Mayor declared the Ordinance Passed, Approved and Adopted. Mr. Smith moved adoption of an ordinance annexing the San Marcos Properties' tract on Lamar Street, for final reading. Mr. Zavesky seconded the motion and on roll call. the following vote was recorded; AYE: NAY; Craddock, Oannelley. Serur, Smith, Zavesky None The Mayor declared the Ordinance Passed. Approved and Adopted.
