Jack Byrom

I

The Mayor celled the meeting to order at 3:30 p.m. and
opened a Public Hearing on the proposed annexation of
47.3 acres of land northwest of LBJ Drive. A transparency
of the property, showing the houses already within the
City Limits, and the location of utility lines, was thrown
on the screen. The City Manager explained that a petition
for a single piece of property had been received, and upon
it. submission to the Planning & Zoning Commission, it had
recommended that about 37 ac~es be annexed in the area. The
Council, after further consideration, decided to annex about
47 acres, and called a Public Hearing.
Jack Hear, a property-owner within the proposed annexation
area, requested that his property not be included. He stated
that he had built his house outside the city limits and had
gone to considerable expense to install facilities, and he
felt it would be unfair to take him into the City now, and'
pay city taxes. After further discussion, no other person
having protested, Dr. Pool moved that the 47.3 acres be
annexed. Mr. Flores seconded the motion and on roll call,
the following vote was recorded:

AYE: Dannelley, Flores, Pool, Serur, Smith, Zavesky
NAY: None

The Mayor declared the motion carried and the Annexation
Ordinance Passed, Approved and Adopted.

I

James R.
