<br />REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, MAY 12, 1969 <br /> <br />Present: <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br />Ellis Serur <br /> <br />Councilmen: <br /> <br />Emmie Craddock, Ph.D. <br />Frank Contreras, jr. <br />Ronald J. Dannelley <br />Luciano H. Flores <br />Hollis W. Smith <br />Jerry Zavesky <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />City Manager Richard G. Bean <br />City Sec~etary Dorothy O. Worrell <br /> <br />Visitors: <br /> <br />The Rev. H. Ellis Thomas, Mrs. C.O. Marshall, <br />Willard Thorp, J.C. Jackson, Mr. and Mrs. <br />Bob Barton, Charlotte Crisp, Bill Veidt <br /> <br />Mayor Pro Tem Dannelley called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />The Rev. H. Ellis Thomas, pastor of First United Methodist Church, <br />gave the Invocation. <br /> <br />Dr. C~addock moved approval of the Minutes of April 28, 1969, as <br />presented. Mr. Smith seconded the motion, and on roll call, the <br />following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />AYE: <br />NAY: <br />ABSTAIN: <br /> <br />Craddock, Contreras, Dannelley., Flores, Serur, Smith <br />None <br />Zavesky <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the .motioncarried. <br /> <br />The Mayor announced opening of bids on the sal~ of $1,400,000 <br />Water & Sewer Improvement Revenue Bonds. He read aloud a bid <br />from the Federal Government, see attached. No other bids were <br />received. Dr. Craddock moved that the Council accepf~he offer <br />of the Federal Government to purchase the bonds at 4!% interest, <br />at par, as stated in the formal bid. Mr.Zavesky seconded the <br />motion, and on roll call, the following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />A YE: Cradd~ck, Contreras, Oannelley, Flo'res, Ser ur, <br />Smith, Zavesky <br /> <br />NAY: None <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the motion carried. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Dr. Craddock introduced the ordinance annexing Holland Street <br />property belonging to the American Lutheran Church, and moved <br />its adoption on final ~eading. Mr. S~ith s~conded the motion <br />and on roll call, the following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: Craddock, Contreras, Dannelley, Flores, Serur, <br />Smith, Zavesky <br /> <br />NA Y : None <br /> <br />The Mayor de~lared the Ordinance Passed, Approved and Adopted. <br />
