REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, MAY 12, 1969 Present: Mayor Ellis Serur Councilmen: Emmie Craddock, Ph.D. Frank Contreras, jr. Ronald J. Dannelley Luciano H. Flores Hollis W. Smith Jerry Zavesky I City Manager Richard G. Bean City Sec~etary Dorothy O. Worrell Visitors: The Rev. H. Ellis Thomas, Mrs. C.O. Marshall, Willard Thorp, J.C. Jackson, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Barton, Charlotte Crisp, Bill Veidt Mayor Pro Tem Dannelley called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. The Rev. H. Ellis Thomas, pastor of First United Methodist Church, gave the Invocation. Dr. C~addock moved approval of the Minutes of April 28, 1969, as presented. Mr. Smith seconded the motion, and on roll call, the following vote was recorded: I AYE: NAY: ABSTAIN: Craddock, Contreras, Dannelley., Flores, Serur, Smith None Zavesky The Mayor declared the .motioncarried. The Mayor announced opening of bids on the sal~ of $1,400,000 Water & Sewer Improvement Revenue Bonds. He read aloud a bid from the Federal Government, see attached. No other bids were received. Dr. Craddock moved that the Council accepf~he offer of the Federal Government to purchase the bonds at 4!% interest, at par, as stated in the formal bid. Mr.Zavesky seconded the motion, and on roll call, the following vote was recorded: A YE: Cradd~ck, Contreras, Oannelley, Flo'res, Ser ur, Smith, Zavesky NAY: None The Mayor declared the motion carried. I Dr. Craddock introduced the ordinance annexing Holland Street property belonging to the American Lutheran Church, and moved its adoption on final ~eading. Mr. S~ith s~conded the motion and on roll call, the following vote was recorded: AYE: Craddock, Contreras, Dannelley, Flores, Serur, Smith, Zavesky NA Y : None The Mayor de~lared the Ordinance Passed, Approved and Adopted.
