Dannelley <br />Luciano H. Flores <br />Hollis W. Smith <br />Jerry Zavesky <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />City Manager <br />City Secretary <br /> <br />Richard G. Bean <br />Dorothy O. Worrell <br /> <br />Visitors: <br /> <br />Mrs. Jo Ann Riley, Travis Tate, <br />He~bert E. Karren, P~illip Yochem, <br />W.C. Carson, Ted Breihan, Bill Veidt, <br />Lanny Cravy, Vinton J. Hartwell, <br />M. Aguirre <br /> <br />The Mayor Pro Tem called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />The Minutes of the May 12 meeting were approved as presented, <br />on motion of Mr. Zavesky and second the Mr. Flores. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The Mayor read aloud a letter from Ted Breihan, offering the <br />City needed right-of-way for widening Thorp Lane, see attached. <br />It was agreed tha{ in the event an assessment is made by the <br />Ci ty for the cost of initial street improve'ments on Thorp La ne, <br />the owner of the donated land for right-of-way will be credited <br />with the amount of the assessment, not to exceed the present <br />appraised valuation. <br />Mr. Zavesky moved that the proposal be accepted. Mr. Contreras <br />seconded the moti6n and on r611 cali~ the following vote was <br />recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: Contreras, Dannelley, Flores, Ser UP; Smith, Zavesky <br />NAY: None <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the motion carried. <br /> <br />The Mayor proposed the name of H.P. "To be" Scrutch{n as the <br />fifth member of the Board of Equalization. Mr. Dannelley <br />moved that Mr.Scrutchin be app6inted to the Board mf Equali- <br />zation. Mr. S~ith seco~ded fhe ~otion and on roll call the <br />following vote Was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: Contreras, Dannelley, Flore~, Serur, Smith, Zavesky <br />NAY: None <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the motion carried. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Planning &Zo~ing matter~ were introduceJ by the Mayor, see <br />attached letter t'rom the Commission. <br />Mr. Dannelley moved Councilappro~alof a change of zoning <br />on five acres of land at {he intersection ot' OldM~rtindale <br />Road and Smith Lane, ~rom "R-I" {o "0", as requested by the <br />owner, James Tuttle. Mr. Smith sedondedthe motion, and on <br />roll call, the following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: Contreras, Dannelley, Flores, Serur, Smith, Zavesky <br />NAY: None <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the motion carried. <br />
