<br />The Mayor 6alled the ~eeting to order at 7:10 p.m.
<br />
<br />The ReV. Richard J. Trevino, pastor of St. John's Church,
<br />gave the Invocation.
<br />
<br />The Minutes of the June 23 and July 1, 1969 meetings were
<br />approved as presented, on motion of Mr. Zavesky and second of
<br />Mr. Flores.
<br />
<br />The Mayor read aloud a letter from Mrs. Ofelia Vasquez, represent-
<br />ative of Community Action, Inc., requesting an ~ncrease in the
<br />City's contr~bution to th~ Surplus Commodities Program. The letter
<br />is attached as a part of the MinuteS.. Mr. Oannelley moved that the
<br />City incr~ase its participation by $200 a year, for a total contri-
<br />bution of $1400 for the next fiscal year. Mr. Contreras seconded
<br />the motion, and on roll call, thefollo~ing vote was recorded:
