<br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
<br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, ACCEPTING THE
<br />BID OF SAN MARCOS TELEPHONE COMPANY, INC.
<br />FOR THE PURCHASE OF A PORTION OF LOTS 16
<br />AND 17 OF THE MILLVIEW ADDITION TO THE
<br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS; AUTHORIZING
<br />THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A SPECIAL WARRANTY
<br />DEED TO SAID BIDDER ON BEHALF OF THE CITY
<br />OF SAN MARCOS, IN TRUST, FOR ITSELF, THE
<br />STATE OF TEXAS, THE COUNTY OF HAYS, AND
<br />THE SAN MARCOS CONSOLIDATED INDEPENDENT
<br />SCHOOL DISTRICT; AND DECLARING AN
<br />EFFECTIVE DATE.

<br />WHEREAS, the City of San Marcos acquired all that right,
<br />title, and interest, conveyed by Sheriff's Deed, dated
<br />March 20, 1963, in and to parts of Lots 16 and 17 of the
<br />Millview Addition to the City of San Marcos, Texas, as
<br />recorded in Volume 112, Page 59 of the Hays County Deed
<br />Records and more particularly described on Exhibit A
<br />attached hereto, as trustee for itself, the State of Texas,
<br />the County of Hays, and the San Marcos Consolidated
<br />Independent School District; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, said lot was not redeemed by its former owners
<br />within the statutory period; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the bid by San Marcos Telephone Company, Inc. was
<br />the highest and best responsible bid; now, therefore,
<br />
<br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS,
<br />TEXAS:

<br />SECTION 1. That the bid of San Marcos Telephone Company, Inc.
<br />in the amount of Fifteen Thousand, Seven Hundred Fifty-Two
<br />Dollars ($15,752.00) for parts of Lots 16 and 17 of the
<br />Millview Addition to the City of San Marcos, Hays County,
<br />Texas, be accepted as the highest and best responsible bid.
<br />
<br />SECTION 2. That the Mayor of the City of San Marcos,
<br />Robert L. Cavazos, be, and is hereby, authorized to execute
<br />a special warranty deed to San Marcos Telephone Company, Inc.
<br />for said property on behalf of the City of San Marcos, in
<br />trust for itself, the State of Texas, the County of Hays, and
<br />the San Marcos Consolidated Independent School District.
<br />
<br />SECTION 3. That this ordinance shall be in effect ten days
<br />from and after its passage and publication in a newspaper
<br />of general circulation in the area.
