5- RESOLUTION NO. 1978-2-R I A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING AN AMENDED CONTRACT FOR SERVICES BETWEEN THE HERITAGE GUILD AND THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS FOR THE CONTINUED OPERATION OF THE CHARLES S. COCK HOME AS A HOUSE MUSEUM OPEN TO THE PUBLIC, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF SAN MARCOS TO EXECUTE SAID CONTRACT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas desires to continue to exhibit the Charles S. Cock Home to the public; and, WHEREAS, the Heritage Guild of the Heritage Association of San Marcos, Inc. has agreed to donate its services to this end on a voluntE,er basis; and, WHEREAS, the previous agreement between the City of San Marcos and the Heritage Guild, dated February 28, 1977, for the operation of the Charles S. Cock Home as a house museum provided for semi-annual review" and, WHEREAS, review on an annual basis is deemed to be sufficient by the parties to this agreement and such a ~hange would require an amendment to the existing agreement; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: I Part 1. That the amendment to the contract between the City of San Marcos and the Heritage Guild, a copy of sa,id amendment being a.ttached hereto and incorporated herein for all intents and purposes, be, and is hereby approved. Part 2. That the Mayor, Frank T. Arredondo, or his successor, be, and is hereby authorized to execute on behalf of said City that amendment herein approved. Part 3.
