<br />12, <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1978-22.~. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, ADOPTING THE AMENDED <br />BUDGET FOR THE 1977-1978 FISCAL YEAR BEGIN- <br />NING ON OCTOBER 1, 1977, AND ENDING ON SEP- <br />TEMBER 30, 1978; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Marcos adopted the <br />budget for the fiscal year 1977-1978, beginning on October 1, 1977, <br />and ending on September 30, 1978, on September 12, 1977; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 8.16 of the City Charter, the <br />City Council desires to amend the budget to reflect an anticipated <br />increase in revenues and expenditures in the Utility Fund; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a notice of public hearing on the amended budget for the <br />City of San Marcos for fiscal year 1977-1978 was heretofore published <br />on April 2, 1978, more than ten (10) days in advance of said hearing; <br />and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a public hearing on said amended budget was duly held on <br />the 17th of April, 1978, and all interested persons were given an <br />opportunity to be heard for or against any amendment to the budget <br />previously adopted; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, ,!'EXAS: <br /> <br />Section I. That the amended budget for the City of San Marcos, Texas, <br />for the fiscal year 1977-1978, beginning October 1, 1977, and ending <br />on September 30, 1978, as set forth in exhibit "A" which is att:ached <br />hereto and for all intents and purposes incorporated herein, in words <br />and figures as shown therein be, and is hereby approved and adopted. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Section 2. That all monies anticipated for collection under this <br />ordinance shall be indicated as revenue and expenditures by the City <br />Manager in the preparation of the annual budget; and the Direct:or <br />of Finance shall keep accurate and complete records of all moni.es <br />collected under this ordinance and of the purposes, for which same <br />are expended. <br /> <br />Section 3.
