<br />17 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1982-21R <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING THE TERMS AND <br />CONDITIONS OF AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN SAID CITY <br />AND AUSTIN COMMUNITY COLLEGE FOR THE PROVISION <br />OF LEARNING EXPERIENCES FOR STUDENT NURSES; <br />AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OF SAID CITY TO <br />EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENT AND DECLARING AN EFFEC- <br />TIVE DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the San Marcos-Hays County Health Department shes <br />to utilize student nurses from Austin Community College, of <br />Austin, Texas, in its program of services to the community; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Austin Community College is lling and ab to <br />allow nursing students at said college to participate in the <br />activities conducted by the San Marcos Hays County Health Depart- <br />ment; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Ci Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas, <br />finds it would be in the best interest of said Ci sa <br />s nurses to partici in said activities; now, there e, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> <br />PART 1. That the Agreement between the City of San Marcos, <br />Texas, and Austin Community College, of Austin, Texas, for the <br />ovision of learning experiences for student nurses, a copy of <br />which is attached and incorporated herein for all intents <br />purposes, be, the same is hereby, approved in all <br /> <br />r <br /> <br />PART 2. That the City of the Ci of San Marcos, <br />Texas, A.C. Gonzalez, Jr. be, and he is hereby, authoriz to <br />execute said agreement on behalf sa City. <br /> <br />PART 3. Womack <br />Ci Secretary <br /> <br />The attached agreement was forwarded to Austin Community College <br />(through Terry Ewald, Sanitarian) for execution. Mr. Ewald advised <br />me "the Austin Community College class ends in August and it was <br />probably too late for them to work at 'our' clinics, and they will <br />review the agreement and have a group work at our department in <br />September".
