73 RESOLUTION NO. 1980-20R A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING A CONTRACT BETWEEN SAID CITY AND FREESE AND NICHOLS, INC. OF AUSTIN, TEXAS, FOR THE PROVISION OF PRO- FESSIONAL SERVICES IN CONNECTION WITH THE REVIEW AND UPDATE OF SAN MARCOS' COMPREHENSIVE MASTER PLAN AND DEVELOPMENT RELATED ORDINANCES AND POLICIES; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE SAID CONTRACT AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. I WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Marcos and the Planning and Zoning Commission of said City have expressed the need and desire for updating the City's Comprehensive Master Plan and development related ordinances and policies; and, WHEREAS, the City Council, of said city by Resolution 1979- , adopted October 8, 1979, expressed a desire to engage Freese and Nichols, Inc. as the consultant to assist the City in developing the scope and procedures for the project and to carry out the work on the project in concert with the city staff; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: PART 1. That the contract between the City of San Marcos, Texas and Freese and Nichols, Inc. of Austin, Texas for the provision of professional services in connection with the review and update of the Comprehensive Master Plan of said city and development related ordinances and policies, a copy of said contract being attached hereto and incorporated herein for all intents and purposes, be, and is hereby, in all things approved. I PART 2. That the City Manager, A.C. Gonzalez, be, and is hereby, authorized to execute said contract on behalf of the City of San Marcos. PART 3.
