<br />The Mayor called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m.
<br />
<br />The Mayor introduced for consideration approval of the minutes of the
<br />regular meeting of April 28, 1980. Mr. Cavazos moved to approve the
<br />minutes. Mr. James seconded the motion. On roll call, the following
<br />vote was recorded:
<br />
<br />AYE: Breihan, Cavazos, James, Hansen, Stokes, Tenorio
<br />
<br />NAY: None
<br />
<br />ABSTAIN: Sutton
<br />
<br />The Mayor then introduced for consideration approval of the minutes of
<br />the special meeting of April 30, 1980. ~-1:r. Tenorio moved the minutes
<br />be approved. Mr. James seconded the motion. On roll call, the following
<br />vote was recorded:

<br />AYE: Breihan, James, Hansen, Stokes, Tenorio
<br />
<br />NAY: None
<br />
<br />ABSTAIN: Cavazos, Sutton
<br />
<br />The Mayor and Council Members then canvassed the results of the Special
<br />Election held May 10, 1980. Mr. Stokes moved to adopt the Resolution
<br />declaring the results of the Election. Mr. Tenorio seconded the motion,
<br />which passed unanimously. The Mayor then issued certificates of Election
<br />to Mayor Kraus, Council Member, Place 1 Karl Brown and Council Member,
<br />Place 2 Tess Norris. The City Secretary administered the Oath of Office
<br />to the new Members and they then took their respective seats on the Council.

<br />The Mayor then introduced for consideration election of a Mayor Pro-
<br />Tempore. Mr. Cavazos nominated Mr. Stokes and Mr. Kraus seconded the
<br />nomination. Mr. James nominated Mr. Tenorio and Mr. Brown seconded the
<br />nomination. Mr. Cavazos moved for nominations to cease. Mrs. Norris
<br />seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. On roll call, the following
<br />vote was recorded:
