Present: <br />Mayor Daniel Guerrero <br />Council: <br />Shane Scott <br />Jude Prather <br />John Thomaides <br />Kim Porterfield <br />Ryan Thomason <br />Wayne Becak <br />*Absent <br />*Arrived at 5:04 p.m. <br />City Staff: <br />James Nuse, City Manager <br />Collette Jamison, Assistant City Manager <br />Michael Cosentino, City Attorney <br />Jamie Lee Pettijohn, City Clerk <br />Tammy Cook, Deputy City Clerk <br />2. Call to Order and Announce a Quorum is Present <br />With a quorum present, the regular meeting of the San Marcos City Council was called to order <br />by Mayor Daniel Guerrero at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 1, 2012 in the Council Chambers of the <br />City of San Marcos City Hall, 630 East Hopkins, San Marcos, Texas 78666. <br />3. S:OOPM Executive Session in accordance with 4551.071 of the Texas Government Code - <br />Consultation with Attorney regarding pending litigation, to wit: Case No. 12 -0826, San <br />Marcos Voice v. the City of San Marcos, in the 274th Judicial District Court of Hays <br />County, Texas. Under the authority of &551.072, Texas Government Code - deliberation <br />regarding Real Property, to wit: receive an update regarding the possible acquisition of <br />the Hays County Justice Center. <br />MOTION: Upon a motion made by Council Member Scott and a seconded by Council Member <br />Thomason, the City Council voted five (5) for and none (0) opposed, with Council Members <br />John Thomaides and Jude Prather were absent, to approve a motion to adjourn into executive <br />session at 5:01 p.m. The motion carried. <br />4. Consider adoption or direction to Staff on matters discussed in Executive Session. <br />
