RECITALS: 1. On November 26, 1996 and January 21, 1997, the Planning & Zoning Commission conducted a public hearing on proposed changes to Division 20-P Public and Institutional District, Division 24-LB Limited Business District, Division 25-C Commercial District, Division 27 -LI Light Industrial District and Division 28-1 Industrial District of Article 5 of Chapter 114-Zoning, of the San Marcos City Code, and on the addition of a new C-2 ! Heavy Commercial District as a new division in that Article and Chapter, and voted to , recommend the changes to the City Council. i BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS SECTION 1. Section 114.411 (1) of the San Marcos City Code is amended to read as follows: (1) Public use including government buildings, parks, cemeteries, airports, hospitals, and other public or quasi-public uses such as churches and utility substations. SECTION 2. Section 114.471 (3) of the San Marcos City Code is added to read as follows: (3) Telecommunication towers and related equipment. SECTION 3. Section 114.471 of the San Marcos City Code is amended to delete subdivision (3), funeral homes, and to renumber subdivisions (4) through (13) as subdivisions (3) through (12), respectively. I SECTION 4. Section 114.472 of the San Marcos City Code is amended to delete subdivision (5), hospitals, and to renumber subdivisions (6) and (7) as subdivisions (5) and (6) respectively. SECTION 5. Section 114.486 of the San Marcos City Code is amended to delete subdivisions (3), (4) and (7), to renumber subdivisions (5) and (6) as subdivisions (3) and (4), respectively, and to add a new subdivision (5) to read as follows: (5) Funeral homes.
