That Chapter 16, Miscellaneous Offenses and Provisions, is amended <br />to read as follows: <br /> <br />CHAPTER 16 <br />MISCELLANEOUS OFFENSES AND PROVISIONS <br />. <br /> <br />ARTICLE I. IN GENERAL <br /> <br /> <br />Sec. 16-1. Using the public waters of Spring Lake. <br /> <br />(a) The public waters of Spring Lake are designated as restricted to the <br />following uses: <br /> <br />(1) Sight-seeing and excursion boats operated by a person owning <br />or controlling property bordering upon Spring Lake; and <br /> <br />(2) Archaeologic and scientific projects authorized by a person <br />owning or controlling property bordering upon Spring Lake. <br /> <br />(b) It is unlawful for a person to enter or remain within or upon the public <br />waters of Spring Lake for a use or purpos~ other than those authorized in <br />subsection (a) above. <br /> <br /> <br />Sec. 16-2. Playing ball in streets and alleys prohibited. <br /> <br />It is unlawful for a person to play with any type of ball on any public street or <br />alley, <br /> <br /> <br />Sec. 16-3. Discharging firearms. <br /> <br />(a) It is unlawful for a person to shoot any gun, pistol, or firearm of any <br />I description, . <br />I <br />J <br />(b) This section does not apply to peace officers in the discharge of their <br />duties, to the discharge of firearms at locations and times approved in advance <br />by the chief of police, or ~o the discharge of a firearh! against a dangerous <br />animal to protect life or property. <br /> <br /> <br />Sec. 16-4. Shooting air gun or slingshòt. <br />It is unlawful for a person to shoot any air gun. or slingshot. <br />
