<br />The Mayor called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m.
<br />
<br />The Hayor introduced for consideration approval of the minutes of the
<br />regular meeting held February 9, 1981. Mr. James moved to approve the
<br />minutes. Mr. Brown seconded the motion. On roll call, the following vote
<br />was recorded:

<br />The Mayor introduced for consideration approval of the minutes of the
<br />emergency meeting held February 13, 1981. Mr. James moved to approve the
<br />minutes. Mr. Brown seconded the motion. On roll call, the following vote
<br />was recorded:

<br />The Mayor introduced for consideration approval of the minutes of the
<br />special meeting held February 16, 1981. Mrs. Norris moved to approve the
<br />minutes. Mr. James seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.
<br />
<br />The Mayor introduced item number 19 out of order, which was to consider
<br />a petition for two o'clock closing in San Marcos. Mrs. Norris moved to
<br />place this request on the ballot for the April 4, 1981 election. Mr. James
<br />seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.

<br />The Mayor then introduced for consideration an Ordinance on third and final
<br />reading, the caption of which was read as follows:
<br />
<br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS,
<br />AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE WHICH REGULATES AND RESTRICTS
<br />THE LOCATION AND USE OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED SEPTEMBER
<br />29, 1980 (VOL. 54) BY ZONING 22.255 ACRES OUT OF THE J.M. VERAMENDI
<br />LEAGUE NO. TWO, FROM "AO" (AGRICULTURAL-OPEN SPACE DISTRICT) TO "c"
<br />(Cm1:1ERCIAL) .
