<br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
<br />OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING THE PRICE AND
<br />CONDITIONS OF THE SALE BY THE CITY OF SAN MAR-
<br />COS, TEXAS, OF PART OF THE J.M. VERAMENDI
<br />LEAGUE ADDITION TO THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, HAYS
<br />COUNTY, TEXAS, TO MARTIN ARROYO; AUTHORIZING
<br />THE ~~YOR TO EXECUTE A WARRANTY DEED TO ~~RTIN
<br />ARROYO AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the City of San Marcos, Texas, advertised for bids
<br />for the sale of that certain real property known as a part of the
<br />J.M. Veramendi League Addition to the City of San Marcos, in Hays
<br />County, Texas, also known as Urban Renewal Parcel No. 62A-3, in
<br />the San Marcos Record, a local newspaper with a general circulation
<br />in the County of Hays, State of Texas, on December 14, 1980 and
<br />December 21, 1980; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said advertisement a bid was submitted
<br />by Martin Arroyo for said described property in the amount of one
<br />thousand, six hundred dollars ($1,600.00);
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, said bid met the minimum disposition price set for
<br />said property by the Urban Renewal Board of Commissioners of the
<br />City of San Marcos, Texas on December 9, 1980; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, said board accepted the bid as the highest and best
<br />responsible bid for said property on January 13, 1981; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, said Bo~rd recommends the approval of said purchase
<br />price and the approval of the terms and conditions for said sale,
<br />as contained in the bid document; now, therefore,
<br />
<br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS,
<br />TEXAS:
<br />
<br />SECTION 1. That the terms and conditions of the sale by the
<br />City of San Marcos, Texas, of a part of the J.M. Veramendi League
<br />Addition to the City of San Maros, in Hays County, Texas, also
<br />known as Urban Renewal Parcel No. 62A-3, said tract being further
<br />described by metes and bounds as follows:
<br />
<br />BEGINNING at the S.W corner of the Compress prop-
<br />erty in San Marcos, Hays County, Texas, as said
<br />corner is located and described in a deed, dated
<br />July 1, 1943, from E.M. Cape and Clara Louise Cape,
<br />to J.R. Wallace, of record in Volume 127, pages
<br />399-400, Deed Records of Hays County, Texas;
<br />
<br />THENCE N. 46° 4' W. along the S.W. line of said
<br />Compress property, 298 feet to a point for the
<br />N.E. Corner of the tract hereby conveyed, said N.E.
<br />corner of this tract being also the S.E. Corner of
<br />a tract of land owned by Jesus Rodrigues as per his
<br />deed recorded in Hays County Deed Records in Volume
<br />129, at page 397;
<br />
<br />THENCE S. 43° 56' W. 106 feet forthe N.W. corner of
<br />the tract hereby conveyed, said N.W. corner being the
<br />S.W. corner of said Jesus Rodrigues tract of land;
<br />
<br />THENCE S. 46° 4' E. 25 feet to a point for the S.W.
<br />corner of the tract of land hereby conveyed;
<br />
<br />THENCE N. 43° 56' E. 106 feet to a point in said Com-
<br />press property;
<br />
<br />THENCE N. 46° 4' W. along said Compress line to the
<br />beginning corner.

<br />The real property conveyed hereby is the same real prop-
<br />erty conveyd by and described in a deed, dated September
<br />26, 1945, from J.R. Wallace, et ux, to Herman Lamonis
