<br />ZONING 8.29 ACRES OF LAND MORE OR LESS OUT OF THE J.M.
<br />VERAMENDI LEAGUE NO.2, BEING A PORTION OF THAT 7.79
<br />ACRE TRACT OF LAND CONVEYED TO HAYS COUNTY, BY WALTER E.
<br />KELLERMAN BY DEED DATED MARCH 2, 1959, AND RECORDED IN

<br />314, HAYS COUNTY DEED RECORDS, HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS, A/K/A
<br />1301 I.H. 35 NORTH FROM "P" (PUBLIC AND INSTITUTIONAL)
<br />DISTRICT AND "M" (SINGLE- FAMILY DUPLEX AND NEIGHBORHOOD
<br />BUSINESS) DISTRICT TO "C" (COMMERCIAL) DISTRICT; AND
<br />DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

<br />WHEREAS, on July 18, 1989, the Joint Planning and Zoning
<br />Commission of the City of San Marcos held a public hearing regarding
<br />a request to change the zoning from "P" (Public and Institutional)
<br />District and "M" (Single-Family, Duplex and Neighborhood Business)
<br />District to "C" (Commercial) District of 8.29 acres of land,
<br />more or less, out of the J.M. Veramendi League No.2, Hays County,
<br />Texas, within the City of San Marcos, Hays County, Texas; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, subsequent to the public hearing on that date, the
<br />Zoning Commission did, on July 18,1989, consider the request and
<br />voted to approve the same and recommended that such request be
<br />approved by the City Council of the City; and,
<br />

<br />WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing on the
<br />February, 1990, regarding such request; and,
<br />

<br />WHEREAS, the requirements of Appendix A, General Zoning
<br />Ordinance, of the Code of Ordinances of the City of San Marcos
<br />pertaining to amendments have been met; and,

<br />WHEREAS, the City Council hereby finds and determines that the
<br />adoption of the following ordinance is in the interest of the public
<br />health, morals, welfare and safety; now, therefore,
