<br />50 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 1989-13R <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SAN MARCOS APPROVING THE TERMS AND <br />CONDITIONS OF AN AGREEMENT FOR ON-CALL SERVICE <br />FOR THE CITY'S DG-MV7800 COMPUTER, AND <br />AMENDMENT NO.1 TO SAID AGREEMENT AND <br />APPROVING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF A <br />MULTIYEAR PLUS SERVICE OPTION ADDENDUM TO THE <br />ON-CALL SERVICE AGREEMENTS FOR CITY'S <br />DG-MVIOOOO AND DG-MV7800 COlv1PUTERS, SAID <br />AGREEMENTS BEING WITH DATA GENERAL SERVICE, <br />INC., AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID <br />AGREEMENTS ON BEHALF OF SAID CITY AND <br />DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, by execution of an agreement on August 26, 1987, the <br />Ci ty of San Marcos, Texas did enter into an agreement with <br />Data General Service, Inc. for on-call maintenance of its <br />computer equipment (MVIOOOO): and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in 1988 the City of San Marcos purchased new <br />computer equipment (MV7800) from Data General Service: Inc., <br />which will require on-call service maintenance: and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of San Marcos desires to enter into a <br />mul tiyear service option agreement for both computers <br />(MVIOOOO and MV7800) for a three (3) year term: now, <br />therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />PART 1. That the terms and conditions of an on-call service <br />agreement with Data General Service, Inc. for on-call service <br />of the MV7800 computer and amendment No.1 to said agreement, <br />a copy of both agreements being attached hereto as Exhibit A <br />and incorporated herein are hereby approved. <br /> <br />PART 2. Tha t the terms and cond i tions 0 f a mul ti year pI us <br />service option addendum to the on-call service agreement with <br />Data General Service, Inc. approved by this resolution of the <br />Ci ty Council of the City of San Marcos and to the existing <br />on-cal1 service agreement with Data General Service, Inc. for <br />on-calI service of the City's Data General MVI0000 computer, <br />a copy of said addendum being attached hereto and <br />incorporated herein, as Exhibit B, are hereby approved. <br /> <br />PART 3. That the Mayor, Kathy M. Morris, be and she is <br />hereby authorized to execute said agreements on behalf of <br />said City. <br /> <br />PART 4.
