<br />-13- <br /> <br />(b) The permit holder shall notify the <br />Electrical Inspector before 3:00 p.m. the day <br />before an inspection is required. The inspection <br />shall be made as soon as possible but not later <br />than 24 hours after the call. In the event the <br />Electrical Inspector fails to make the required <br />inspection within the time allotted, the Electrical <br />Contractor, upon written notice to the Electrical <br />Board, shall proceed with his or work as though the <br />inspection had been made, and the work approved. <br />However, nothing in this subsection shall relieve <br />the permit holder from his responsibility to <br />perform his or her work in accordance wi th all <br />conditions of this Chapter, and any work found by <br />subsequent inspection to be not so performed shall <br />be immediately removed or corrected. <br /> <br />(c) Notwithstanding subsection (b) above, no <br />electrical work for which a permit is required <br />under this Chapter shall be concealed in any manner <br />from access or sight until it has been inspected <br />and approved by the Electrical Inspector, and no <br />electrical work shall be connected to a source of <br />energy until such electrical work is completed and <br />all outlets supplied with approved fixtures, <br />devices or covers, and the electrical work has been <br />finally approved for service. <br /> <br />(d) If the electrical installations upon <br />final inspection meet all the requirements of this <br />chapter, the Electrical Inspector shall take the <br />necessary action immediately to allow connection of <br />the electrical work to a source of energy. After <br />final inspection, a written certificate of approval <br />shall be issued, upon request, to the permit holder <br />to cover any work done by him and approved by the <br />Electrical Inspector. <br /> <br />(e) In the event the electrical work fails to <br />meet the requirements of this chapter, the permit <br />holder shall be notified by the Electrical <br />Inspector of existing deficiencies. If the <br />disapproved work is on premises already connected <br />to a source of energy, the permit holder shall <br />immediately take action to correct the defects and <br />call for reinspect ion of work. Failure to do so <br />within 48 hours of written notification may be <br />cause, if the Electrical Inspector deems public <br />safety to be compromised, for an order to the <br />serving utility to disconnect power until the <br />discrepancy is corrected. If public safety is not <br />involved, and 15 days from date of written <br />notification of discrepancy has expired, the <br />Electrical Inspector shall refuse to issue any <br />further permi ts for electrical work to the <br />electrician until existing defects are corrected <br />and approved in accordance with the provisions of <br />this chapter. <br /> <br />(f) The Electrical Inspector will leave a <br />written log of inspections (whether passed or <br />failed) with the inspections department clerk at <br />noon and 5:00 p.m. each day. A Master Electrician <br />may call and receive telephone information on the <br />status of his or her requested inspection. <br /> <br />(g) Temporary power for testing shall be <br />permitted for up to 90 days upon written request of <br />the permitted Master Electrician. <br />
