<br />-8- <br /> <br />the Electrical Board with satisfactory reasons for failing to <br />timely renew the license, the Electrical Board may authorize <br />renewal of the license. <br /> <br />(f) All expired licenses not renewed as provided by the <br />preceding subsection shall be deemed cancelled, and the <br />Electrical Inspector shall note cancellations on the official <br />records. <br /> <br />(g) Every licensee shall have the appropriate license <br />in his or her immediate possession at all times when doing <br />any electrical work and shall display it upon demand by any <br />peace officer, or the electrical enforcement official, or by <br />the owner of the premises or property upon which the licensee <br />is working, offering to work, or has worked. <br /> <br />(h) In the event that a license or permit issued under <br />the provisions of this chapter is lost or destroyed, the <br />person to whom it was issued may obtain a duplicate upon <br />furnishing proof satisfactory to the electrical enforcement <br />official that the permit or license was lost or destroyed, <br />and upon payment of a fee of five dollars ($5.00). <br /> <br />(i) Whenever a licensee has a new name, address or <br />employer, he or she shall immediately notify the City of the <br />new name, address, or employer and shall give his or her <br />license number. <br /> <br />(j) The Electrical Contractor shall display the company <br />name and the license number of the Master Electrician that <br />the Contractor operates under in letters not less than two <br />(2) inches in height on both sides of all vehicles used by <br />the company. <br /> <br />Sec. 9-4.4. Reciprocal agreements and licenses. <br /> <br />The Electrical Board may enter into agreements, subject <br />to approval by the City Attorney as provided in Section <br />2-9 of the Code of Ordinances, with other code-enforcing <br />jurisdictions for the purpose of allowing licensed Master <br />Electricians and Journeyman Electricians to obtain similar <br />licenses in the City of San Marcos without taking the <br />required examinations; provided, that the privilege is <br />extended by the other jurisdiction to allow San Marcos <br />licensed Master Electricians and Journeyman Electricians to <br />obtain licenses in that jurisdiction in a similar manner, and <br /> <br />(a) Evidence must be presented that the licensing <br />jurisdiction issues licenses under conditions no less <br />restrictive than required by this chapter. <br /> <br />(b) The applicant must have obtained his or her license <br />in that jurisdiction through testing. (Double-Reciprocating <br />is not allowed.) <br /> <br />(c) The process of obtaining the reciprocal license <br />(Administrative Procedures) must be similar in both <br />j~=i~~ictions, with any constraints placed on an applicant in <br />one jurisdication applying equally in the other. <br /> <br />(d) All agreements shall be in writing and shall detail <br />the requirements and administrative procedures referred to in <br />(c) above. These agreements must be available in the <br />Electrical Inspection Department for examination by any <br />Electrician. <br /> <br />(e) On each agreement, the Electrical Board shall <br />determine whether it retains the right to rule individually <br />on each applicant, or whether blanket authority to issue <br />licenses shall be delegated to the Electrical Inspector. <br />
