<br />-9- <br /> <br />(f) A Master Electrician applying for a <br />reciprocal license must have held his license for <br />not less than one year in the reciprocating <br />jurisdication. <br /> <br />Sec. 9-4.5. Fees for licenses and examinations. <br /> <br />(a) The fee for examination for the Master <br />Electrician License, Journeyman Electrician License <br />and Maintenance Electrician License shall be in an <br />amount sufficient to cover the cost to the City of <br />such testing, including administrative costs. <br />Payment of this fee shall be required each time an <br />application for the license examination is made. <br />The examination fee is not refundable. <br /> <br />(b) The annual fees required for licensing <br />under this chapter are as follows: <br /> <br />License <br /> <br />Oriqinal <br /> <br />Renewal <br /> <br />Master Electrician <br />Journeyman Electrician <br />Maintenance Electrician <br />Apprentice Electrician <br /> <br />$150.00 <br />20.00 <br />20.00 <br />5.00 <br /> <br />$50.00 <br />10.00 <br />10.00 <br />2.00 <br /> <br />The total fee is payable for a full year or any <br />portion of a year. <br /> <br />Sec. 9-5. <br /> <br />Requirement for permits and inspections . <br /> <br />(a) Except as otherwise specifically provided <br />in this chapter, it shall be unlawful for any <br />person to install or cause to be installed, or to <br />permit any person to install any electrical wiring, <br />fixtures or equipment wi thin or on any building, <br />structure or premises, publically or privately <br />owned, or to make any alterations, additions, <br />changes or repairs within the scope of this <br />chapter, without having procured a permit issued by <br />the Electrical Inspection Department. <br /> <br />(b) If a person is properly licensed, then no <br />permit shall be required for the following work: <br /> <br />(1) <br /> <br />(2) <br /> <br />(3) <br /> <br />Maintenance work or the making of minor <br />repairs, such as the replacement of <br />lamps, sockets, fuses, drop cords, snap <br />switches or other similar items, or the <br />replacement of any electrical device, <br />circuit, or component with a part of <br />similar nature, size, and application. <br />The connection of portable electrical <br />equipment to suitable permanently <br />installed receptacles. <br />Any work involved in the manufacture, <br />testing, servicing, altering or repairing <br />of electrical equipment or apparatus, <br />except that this exemption shall not <br />apply to any permanent wiring or <br />permanent attachment. <br /> <br />Sec. 9-5.1. Application for permit. <br /> <br />(a) Application for permits shall be made <br />upon forms approved by the Electrical Board and <br />provided by the Electrical Inspector, and shall <br />contain the following: <br /> <br />(1) <br />(2) <br /> <br />The name of the applicant. <br />The date the application is submitted. <br />
