On roll call the following vote was re- <br /> corded: <br /> AYE: Farr, Craddock, Kissler. <br /> NAY: Coddington, Guerra. <br /> ABSTAIN: None. <br /> The motion failed and City Attorney Hankins stated the matter could <br /> be reconsidered by the Council at the August 27, 1984 Council Meeting. <br /> Mayor Craddock opened a public hearing to consider an appeal of the <br /> issuance of a specific use permit granted by the Zoning Commission <br /> to Wild Bill's, located at 220 N. Edward Gary. Mayor Craddock asked <br /> if anyone wished to speak against the appeal. Attorney William Lynn <br /> Bennett, representing David Beck and Tim Noland, who applied for the <br /> permit, spoke in favor of his clients being issued the permit. ,J ohn <br /> Meeks, representing Nelson Interests, stated he had a concern for the <br /> parking problem in the area and stated the request did not conform to <br /> a specific use permit and asks the Council to deny the request. John <br /> McCrocklin who filed the appeal of the issuance of the specific use <br /> permit, stated he was concerned with Wild Bill's incompatibility and <br /> inadequate fire capacity in the area and wanted a more professional <br /> environment. No one else wished to speak at the public hearing, so <br /> Mayor Craddock closed the public hearing. City Planner Frank Robbins <br /> recommended the Council remand the appeal back to the Zoning Commission <br /> for them to make recommendations to the Council addressing the parking, <br /> litter, etc. problems of the area. Mayor Craddock moved approval of <br /> Frank Robbins' recommendations and Ms. Kissler seconded the motion. On <br /> roll call the following vote was recorded: <br /> AYE: Craddock. <br /> NAY: Coddington, Farr, Guerra, Kissler. <br /> ABSTAIN: None. <br />
