<br />Narrative <br />page-S <br /> <br />OBJECTIVE 1~_L To train at least 4S new volunteer tutors, <br />including fifteen new ESL tutors, by August 31, 1989. <br />Training will take place during three tutor training <br />workshops to be held during FY 1988-89. <br /> <br />PERFORMANCE MEASURE: The Project Coordinator will keep <br />track of the number of tutor training sessions held and <br />the number of volunteers who successfully complete each <br />session. These statistics will be reported to TSL as part <br />of our semi-annual evaluation. <br /> <br />OBJECTIVE 1-C: To expand our Lifelong Learning Collection by <br />approximately 300 books and audio tapes to fill the needs of <br />our ESL students and their tutors. Materials will be <br />ordered, received and cataloged for the collection by <br />December 31, 1988. <br /> <br />PERFORMANCE MEASURE: The library's cataloging staff will <br />count the number of items added to the Lifelong Learning <br />Collection and report them to the Project Coordinator for <br />inclusion on our semi-annual evaluation report. <br /> <br />GOA~ 2: To provide the non-English speaking community with a <br />convenient source of information about social services available <br />in the local area. <br /> <br />OBJECTIVE 2-A: To obtain, display and distribute <br />informational brochures about area social service agencies at <br />the library. This will begin November 1, 1988 and become a <br />permanent part of the library operation. Special emphasis <br />will be placed on obtaining brochures in both English and <br />Spanish. <br /> <br />PERFORMANCE MEASURE': The Project Coordinator will gather <br />and display brochures by November 1, 1988. Our semi- <br />annual evaluation report will indicate which agencies are <br />represented in the display. <br /> <br />OBJECTIVE 2-B: To develop and distribute throughout San <br />Marcos 1000 copies of a bilingual (Spanish-English) directory <br />of social services. This will be accomplished by August 31, <br />1989. Distribution will be through social service agencies, <br />churches, our adult education tutors, etc. <br /> <br />PERFORMANCE MEASURE: The Project Coordinator will <br />complete the directory and submit two copies to TSL by <br />August 31, 1989. We will also report the number of <br />directories distributed on our semi-annual evaluation <br />report to TSL. <br />
