Narrative page-g attracting the ESL community to library programs such as story time. We plan to produce three bilingual program fliers and a bilingual social services directory using grant funds. These materials will be widely distributed through the Hispanic community. We also plan to make presentations about the library to at least ten organizations which work closely with the ESL community. VI. STAFFING The Lifelong Learning Project will be staffed as follows: 1) Lifelono Learnino Project Coordinator The Project Coordinator is a 20 hour per week position which is funded by our existing grant and will continue to be funded by the new grant. Our current Coordinator, Renate Yanity, has proven to be very effective with regard to tutor training, working with students and tutors, and developing an effective publicity program. We are certain that she will be equally successful in carrying out our goals for the ESL program. She will be responsible for recruiting tutors and students, providing tutor training, selecting materials for the Lifelong Learning Collection, developing the social services directory, organizing the social services fair and publicizing the program. She will also supervise the story time program. A job description for the Coordinator may be found in Appendix C. The Project Coordinator will be supervised by the Public Services Supervisor. 2) Story time Presenter The Story time Presenter will be paid from the grant on a contract basis to develop and present twenty story time programs for the Hispanic community. A job description and contract for this position can be found in Appendix C. We will seek a bilingual (Spanish-English) person who has had e~perience working with children to fill this position. The Story time Presenter will be supervised by the Project Coordinator. 3) Public Services Supervisor The Public Services Supervisor is a full time member of the library staff who will supervise the Project Coordinator. She will devote approximately five hours per week to the project.
