Hutchison
San Marcos, 'IX 78666

Dear Ms. Langenharrp,

Please consider this letter as my expression of support towards your efforts to
acquire funding for additional services for adult education in San Marcos, Texas.

One of our goals in rehabilitating an adult probationer is to provide assis-
tance to irrprove self esteem and create ernployrrent opportunities for the proba-
tioner. In our society, being able to read, write, and speak the English
language is essential for many probationers who only speak Spanish. A particular
concern of mine has been our youth who fall into this category.

I hope that your G.E.D. program will expand in providing spanish speaking tutors.
The needs of the non-English speaking citizen are increasing, and needs your
help.

E~utmttoo.

~tasti1lo
Adüit Probation Supervisor
Hays County, Texas

jz
