Any officer impounding a vehicle that is not <br />involved in an accident shall submit a report form as to the <br />physical appearance of the vehicle, of which one copy shall <br />be supplied to the wrecker operator. <br /> <br />Sec. 33-9. Fees. <br /> <br />Each participating commercial towing and wrecker service <br />shall be limited in the fees it charges for tows authorized <br />by the San Marcos Police Department. Such fees shall be no <br />more than: <br /> <br />( 1) <br /> <br />(2 ) <br /> <br />(3 ) <br /> <br />(4 ) <br /> <br />(5) <br /> <br />(6 ) <br /> <br />(7 ) <br /> <br />(8 ) <br /> <br />Fifty dollars <br />limits. <br /> <br />($50.00) <br /> <br />for <br /> <br />any tow within the <br /> <br />city <br /> <br />Fifty dollars ($50.00), plus one dollar ($1.00) per mile <br />for any tow authorized outside the city limits. <br /> <br />Seventy dollars ($70.00) for any tow where dollies are <br />required. <br /> <br />Twenty-five dollars ($25.00) per hour for labor if <br />exceptional labor is required other than a normal tow, <br />with a minimum charge of twenty-five dollars ($25.00). <br />Exceptional labor does not include normal hook-up <br />procedures or routine cleanup which takes thirty (30 ) <br />minutes or less. <br /> <br />Five dollars ($5.00) per day for first five (5) days for <br />storage fees. Seven dollars ($7.00) per day for storage <br />fees after the first five (5) days. A separate storage <br />fee will be charged for a trailer. <br /> <br />Ten dollars ($10.00) per day for inside storage fees <br />when inside storage is requested by the owner or <br />operator of the vehicle. If inside storage is requested <br />by the Police Department, the City shall pay the <br />difference between the regular storage and inside <br />storage fee. <br /> <br />Twenty dollars ($20.00) per hour while waiting at the <br />scene for permission to remove vehicle after the first <br />thirty (30) minutes. <br /> <br />Additional charges based on actual costs will be <br />assessed for exceptional labor used to retrieve a <br />vehicle from a river, creek, or any waterway. <br /> <br />Sec. 33-10. <br /> <br />Administrative Fee. <br /> <br />In addition to the charges provided in Sec. 33-9, each <br />wrecker service shall charge and collect $5.00 for each tow <br />performed under ~his Chapter. Such amounts collected shall <br />be paid to the City on the 10th of each month for all such <br />collections made during the preceding month. <br /> <br />Sec. 33-11. <br /> <br />(a) <br /> <br />Insurance. <br /> <br />Any commercial towing or wrecker service performing <br />services under the provisions of this chapter shall <br />procure and keep in force and effect and sha.¡¡ ^-cc~ o:u <br />file with the city secretary a policy of public <br />liability and property damage insurance, or a <br />certificate of insurance, issued by a casualty insurance <br />company which is authorized to do business in Texas. <br />Said policy or certificate shall be in the standard form <br />approved by the State Board of Insurance, shall contain <br />a provision that at least ten (10) days' prior notice of <br />material change or cancellation of said insurance shall <br />be given to city by the insurance company, and shall <br />contain a provision which includes the city as an <br />additional named insured. The coverge provisions of <br />said policy shall insure the public from loss or damage <br />that may arise to any person or property by reason of <br />
