With the Scene Machine, the photographer can use a wide variety of
backgrounds including indoor and outdoor scenes, computer graphics,
abstracts, and solid colors to complement the subject. Anything the
photographer can photograph with his 35 mm camera can become a
background in his studio if he is using a Scene Machine. Today's
consumers profer contemporary portraiture that resembles the images
they see on television and in the print media. The use of the Scene
Machine increases the photographers competitive advantage and potential
profits. The Scene Machine was developed by EPS president, Dr. Henry
Oles and is patented.
EPS manufactures and/or markets a wide variety of products related to
the Scene Machine. The Scene Machine concept would not work without a
special ultra reflective projection screen which EPS fabricates. EPS
has also created a special reflective floor panel which permits the
creation of full length backgrounds that completely surround the
subject. EPS has created and markets a wide selection of background
slides for the photographer to use in his projection system. To
control quality, all slide duplicates are made by EPS.
EPS markets a wide variety of related studio products including studio
electronic flash lighting, camera stands, overhead light support
systems, cameras, background supports and props. EPS also markets
specialized laboratory processing equipment including developing
systems for transparencies, developing and printing machines for
typical one hour color labs, and specialized package printing machines
for professional color printing. EPS is the sole designated US
importer of Hensel flash equipment from Germany.
Training is a very important component of all EPS operations. EPS has
created a unique set of video training tapes to help the customer
quickly master the successful operation of the Scene Machine system.
Seminars are held monthly at the EPS training center for both
prospective customers and current equipment owners. Seminars are also
held in key cities throughout the United States covering both equipment
operation and product marketing concepts. EPS recently formed an
agreement with COPAL SYSTEMS, one of the world's largest manufacturers
of one hour processing equipment, to conduct educational training
seminars of mutual interest to both companies.
EPS is also involved in the creation and fabrication of specific
products for other photographic companies such as the new Auto Studio
System which will be sold world wide in 1989• EPS has designed several
major components for the Auto Studio System and will be responsible for
manufacturing those components and assembling the entire Auto Studio
package for shipment. The world's largest manufacture of one hour
laboratory processing equipment has purchased the exclusive sales
rights to Auto Studio worldwide. The vast majority of all products
sold by EPS range in price from $3,000 to $30,000. The markup varies
considerably depending upon the product and whether or not EPS
manufactures, imports, and/or just distributes the product. Processing
equipment sales generally range from $15,000 to $100,000.
