in the Lowmans' Ranch development is in the upper pressure plane
at a base elevation of approximately 800 feet :\ISL. The elevation
of this site will allow the standpipe to function as elevated storage
and ground storage for both the upper and lower pressure planes.
However, elevated storage for the upper upper pressure plane will
also be necessary. The following table outlines the required
storage volumes.

TABLE 6
Water Storage Volumes

Proposed Required Proposed
Elevated Storage Total Elevated Storage Lower I
Upper Planes Storage Ground Storage Upper
Design Phase (gal) (gal) (gal)
I 75,000 314,500 275,000
II 105,000 1,426,400 1,275,200
III 100,000 3,493,900 2,000,000

Initially a 350,000 gallon standpipe should be constructed in the
Lowmans' Ranch development along Centerpoint Road at the 800
foot contour (Figure 8). A 500,000 gallon standpipe is also
proposed to be constructed on McCarty Lane at the 770 foot
contour in phase I. This ..,ill provide adequate ground and
elevated storage for the upper and lower planes through the year
1995.

In phase II a 500,000 gallon ground storage tank should be
constructed at Well Site A. A 105,000 gallon elevated tank should
also be built at the far western edge of the Lowmans' Ranch
development to provide the upper upper pressure plane with
adequate elevated storage through the year 2005. The completion
of the ground storage tank and the elevated tank should enable
the system to handle the needs of the service area until the year
1995.

JONES ð: NEUSe:

26
