In phase III two additional 1,000,000 gallon storage tanks should
be constructed, one at the proposed Well Site A and one near the
standpipe in the Lo\,;'1Ilans' Ranch development, to supply a portion
of the required storage for the lower pressure plane through the
year 2005. These additions should upgrade the system to
adequately supply the entire basin with ground storage and the
lower pressure plane with elevated storage through the year 2005.
An additional 100,000 gallon elevated storage tank should also be
constructed in phase III in the upper pressure plane to provide
the upper pressure plane with the required elevated storage for
the projected 2005 population.

E.

Pumping

Recommended guidelines for water service pumps are to size the
pumps to handle 80% of the firm maximum hour demand flow. Two
locations are proposed to supply pumping for the basin. Pumping
"..ill be required in the LJwmans' Ranch development to supply the
elevated storage tank for the upper upper pressure plane, as well
as to augment the up:¡:er pressure plane demand flow. The
remainder of the pumping facilities are proposed to be located at
Well Site A to supply the elevated tank in the upper pressure
plane as well as high demand service for the lower pressure plane.

TABLE 7
Pumping Capacity

Design Phase
Phase I
Phase II
Phase III

Total
Firm Pumping Capacity
(gpm)
0
1500
3000

Initially there is no need for pumping because the standpipe in the
Lowmans' Ranch development \'oill adequately service the area

JONES ð: NEUSE

I
)

27
