<br /> 75 <br />Regular Meeting October 22, 1984 Page 7 <br />Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration adoption of a Resolu- <br />tion, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS APPROVING FINAL PAYMENT TO TED BREIHAN <br /> ELECTRIC COMPANY FOR THE FURNISHING AND INSTALLATION <br /> OF A TRAFFIC SIGNAL AT THE INTERSECTION OF SESSOM <br /> STREET AND PEQUES STREET IN SAID CITY; ACCEPTING SAID <br /> TRAFFIC SIGNAL FOR USE BY SAID CITY; AUTHORIZING FINAL <br /> PAYMENT IN THE AMOUNT OF $6,547.80 AND DECLARING AN <br /> EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />The next two items on the agenda were removed and will be considered <br />at a meeting in the future. Those items were authorization to approve <br />the purchase of 3 radar units for the traffic enforcement police <br />motorcycles and 3 Handie-Talkie radios and helmet kits for the traffic <br />enforcement police motorcycles. <br />Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval for authorization <br />to bid three one-half ton pickups for the Wastewater Department. Ms. <br />Kissler moved to authorize bidding and Mayor Craddock seconded the <br />motion, which passed unanimously. <br />Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval for authorization <br />to bid one stationwagon for the Library. Mr. Brown moved to authorize <br />bidding and Ms. Kissler seconded the motion. The bid specifications <br />were changed by the Council from "V-6" to "straight 6 cylinders". <br />The Council voted unanimously for authorization to bid. <br />Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval for authorization <br />to bid two pickups for the Building Inspection Department. Ms. Kissler <br />moved authorization to bid and Mr. Guerra seconded the motion, which <br />passed unanimously. <br />Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval for authorization <br />to bid three used automobiles for the criminal investigation section <br />of the Police Department. Mr. Guerra moved to authorize bidding and <br />Mr. Coddington seconded the motion. Mr. VandeWalle asked if the word- <br />ing on the specifications for these three automobiles could be changed <br />from "All bids will be held for 15 days" to possibly "5 days", and it <br />was consensus of Council to make the change. The Council voted unani- <br />mously for authorization. <br />Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval for authorization <br />to bid one ranger pickup for Animal Control. Mayor Craddock moved <br />to authorize bidding and Mr. Brown seconded the motion, which passed <br />unanimously. <br />Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval for authorization <br />to bid one one-half ton pickup for Public Works Inspection. Mr. Cod- <br />dington moved to authorize bidding and Ms. Kissler seconded the motion, <br />which passed unanimously. <br />Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval for authorization <br />to bid one four-wheel drive vehicle for the Environmental Inspector. <br />Mr. Guerra moved to authorize bidding and Ms. Kissler seconded the mo- <br />tion. On roll call the following vote was recorded: <br /> AYE: Brown, Coddington, Farr, Craddock, Guerra, Kissler. <br /> NAY: Moore. <br /> ABSTAIN: None. <br />
