75 Regular Meeting October 22, 1984 Page 7 Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration adoption of a Resolu- tion, the caption which was read as follows: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS APPROVING FINAL PAYMENT TO TED BREIHAN ELECTRIC COMPANY FOR THE FURNISHING AND INSTALLATION OF A TRAFFIC SIGNAL AT THE INTERSECTION OF SESSOM STREET AND PEQUES STREET IN SAID CITY; ACCEPTING SAID TRAFFIC SIGNAL FOR USE BY SAID CITY; AUTHORIZING FINAL PAYMENT IN THE AMOUNT OF $6,547.80 AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. The next two items on the agenda were removed and will be considered at a meeting in the future. Those items were authorization to approve the purchase of 3 radar units for the traffic enforcement police motorcycles and 3 Handie-Talkie radios and helmet kits for the traffic enforcement police motorcycles. Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval for authorization to bid three one-half ton pickups for the Wastewater Department. Ms. Kissler moved to authorize bidding and Mayor Craddock seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval for authorization to bid one stationwagon for the Library. Mr. Brown moved to authorize bidding and Ms. Kissler seconded the motion. The bid specifications were changed by the Council from "V-6" to "straight 6 cylinders". The Council voted unanimously for authorization to bid. Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval for authorization to bid two pickups for the Building Inspection Department. Ms. Kissler moved authorization to bid and Mr. Guerra seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval for authorization to bid three used automobiles for the criminal investigation section of the Police Department. Mr. Guerra moved to authorize bidding and Mr. Coddington seconded the motion. Mr. VandeWalle asked if the word- ing on the specifications for these three automobiles could be changed from "All bids will be held for 15 days" to possibly "5 days", and it was consensus of Council to make the change. The Council voted unani- mously for authorization. Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval for authorization to bid one ranger pickup for Animal Control. Mayor Craddock moved to authorize bidding and Mr. Brown seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval for authorization to bid one one-half ton pickup for Public Works Inspection. Mr. Cod- dington moved to authorize bidding and Ms. Kissler seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval for authorization to bid one four-wheel drive vehicle for the Environmental Inspector. Mr. Guerra moved to authorize bidding and Ms. Kissler seconded the mo- tion. On roll call the following vote was recorded: AYE: Brown, Coddington, Farr, Craddock, Guerra, Kissler. NAY: Moore. ABSTAIN: None.
