<br /> 60 <br /> Regular Meeting January 27, 1986 Page 5 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE FUTURE LAND USE PLAN <br /> (MAP) OF THE MASTER PLAN OF SAID CITY, FOR ALL OF <br /> BLOCK 1, C. L. MCGEHEE ADDITION, A SUBDIVISION IN <br /> TEE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AS SHOWN ON THE MAP <br /> OR PLAT ThEREOF RECORDED IN VOLUME H, PAGE 573 OF <br /> THE DEED RECORDS OF HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS, AND BEING <br /> THAT PROPERTY WHICH IS BOUNDED BY HUTCHISON, SCOTT, <br /> BLANCO AND HOPKINS STREETS, FROM LOW DENSITY RESIDEN- <br /> TIAL TO MEDIUM DENSITY RESIDENTIAL; AND DECLARING AN <br /> EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> Mr. Guerra opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to <br /> speak in favor of the land use amendment. Patsy Greiner stated she <br /> was in favor of this request, because it is an appropriate buffer <br /> for medium density. Shirley Wickersham asked about land use in <br /> another block and a discussion ensued regarding land use amendments. <br /> Frank Robbins stated there were approximately 20 areæ in the City <br /> to be reviewed. A workshop will be scheduled the third Thursday <br /> in March with the Council, Planning and Zoning Commissions to review <br /> these areas. No one else wished to speak in favor or in opposition <br /> to the land use amendment, so Mr. Guerra closed the public hearing. <br /> Mr. Coddington moved for adoption of the Resolution and Mr. Guerra <br /> seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> Mr. Guerra introduced a public hearing and adoption of a Resolution, <br /> the caption which was read as follows: <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE FUTURE LAND USE PLAN <br /> (MAP) OF THE MASTER PLAN OF SAID CITY, FOR 5.15 <br /> ACRES OF LAND CONSISTING OF 2.06 ACRES AND 3.06 <br /> ACRES OF LAND OUT OF THE LYDIA GLASGOW SURVEY, HAYS <br /> COUNTY, TEXAS, AND BEING THAT LAND CONVEYED TO RANDALL <br /> MORRIS BY FRANK HOCH BY DEED DATED MARCH 1, 1984, AND <br /> RECORDED IN VOLUME 423, PAGE 16, HAYS COUNTY DEED RE- <br /> CORDS, LOCATED WITHOUT THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE <br /> CITY OF SAN MARCOS, BUT WITHIN SAID CITY'S TWO (2) <br /> MILE EXTRATERRITORIAL JURISDICTION AND LOCATED ON <br /> THE SOUTH SIDE OF RANCH ROAD 12, FROM LOW DENSITY <br /> RESIDENTIAL TO COMMERCIAL¡ AND DECLARING AN EPFECT- <br /> IVE DATE. <br /> Mr. Guerra opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to <br /> speak in favor of the land use amendment. Richard Taylor stated he <br /> was present representing Randall Morris to answer any questions. No <br /> one else wished to speak in favor or in opposition to the land use <br /> amendment, so Mr. Guerra closed the public hearing. Mr. Farr moved <br /> for adoption of the Resolution and Ms. Kissler seconded the motion, <br /> which passed unanimously (Mr. Coddington was not present to vote on <br /> this item). <br /> Mr. Guerra introduced a public hearing and approval of an Ordinance <br /> on second reading, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 1 OF ORDINANCE 1984- <br /> 70 ADOPTED JUNE 13, 1984 DECLARING A BUILDING MORATOR- <br /> IUM TO DELETE THEREFROM PLANNING UNITS 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 52 <br /> AND 53 EFFECTIVE APRIL 1, 1986; TO DELETE THEREFROM UPON <br /> PASSAGE OF THIS ORDINANCE A PORTION OF PLANNING UNITS 5 <br /> AND 53¡ AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />
