industrial engineering, organizational psychology, economics, finance, and accounting.
LWFW Group is the largest Southwest-based member of the national Association of
Management Consulting Firms (ACME). We provide services to both the public and
private sectors on a national level, and our clients include some of the nation's largest
corporations, as well as a broad cross section of local governments.
During the past decade, a major portion of LWFW's business has been working with city
and county governments to improve efficiency and effectiveness of their internal
operations and external services. We believe the experience gained from working with
every aspect of local governments provides our firm with the following key qualifications.
8 Development of a project team whose members have worked together on
each of the data processing studies presen ted in the Relevant Studies
subsection. Note: During these studies, LWFW has had the opportunity to
be heavily involved with cities that have selected and installed the same
software San Marcos has installed: the HMS system. This should be of a
benefit to the City -- LWFW knows from previous experience what are
HMS's strengths and weaknesses.
8 Development of data processing plans, including identification of needs and
detailed analysis of potential acquisition strategies for several governmental
entities. These plans include:
- Identifying the needs and the development of a data processing plan
for multiple governmental entities to continue operating a shared
data processing facility.
- Communication with hired, appointed and elected governmental
officials.
- Defining and identifying the costs associated with potential
strategies for acquisition and implementation of information and
communication systems.
8 Considerable exposure to the opera tional and management needs of
municipal activities.
8 Independence from any computer hardware and software vendors -- L WFW
does not market or install any major data processing systems for/to
9
