<br /> 3. Assist the Owner in obtaining the necessary <br /> easements. <br /> 12.2 FIELD SURVEYING <br /> A. To collect information required for design of the <br /> University Interceptor, field surveys including related office <br /> computations and drafting, shall be conducted. The following <br /> describes the services to be provided: <br /> 1. Meet with the Owner to clearly define the alignment <br /> to be surveyed. <br /> 2. Establish a survey baseline relative to adjacent <br /> right-of-way property for the defined alignment. <br /> 3. Locate all trees; specify all trees larger than six <br /> (6) inches in diameter {this diameter shall mean the diameter of <br /> the tree at a point five ( 5) feet above the ground surface); <br /> locate all visible utilities, structures, improvements, drainage <br /> features and roadways within either 30 feet in each direction from <br /> the baseline when in open fields, or from right-of-way to <br /> right-of-way when in existing roadways. <br /> 4. Establish elevations on visible utility structures <br /> and existing ground surface along the baseline of the alignment <br /> surveyed as required. <br /> 5. Owner to provide assistance in locating all <br /> existing utilities prior to beginning field survey. <br /> 6. Construction layout and cut sheets. <br /> 12.3 INVITATION FOR BIDS, PLANS, AIm OTHER CONTRACT DOCUMENTS <br /> DISTRIBUTION <br /> 12.3.1 The Engineer shall provide the following services for <br /> the Distribution of Invitation For Bids, Plans and other Contract <br /> Documents for the project{s): <br /> A. Mail Invitation For Bids to potential bidders. <br /> B. Distribute Plans and other Contract Documents to all <br /> interested bidders. <br /> C. Compile a Contract Documents Holders List, and <br /> distribute to all holders one (I) week prior to the bid opening. <br /> D. Answer all questions of prospective bidders and provide <br /> interpretations of Contract Documents. <br /> -27- <br />
