Display of SUBDIVISION SIGNS shall be limited to one <br /> SIGN not exceeding 32 square feet in area per street <br /> entrance to the subdivision, and shall be displayed no <br /> longer than 3 years from the date of issuance of the <br /> first building permit for any lot in the subdivision, <br /> or until 90 percent of the lots or buildings in the <br /> subdivision have been sold, whichever occurs last. <br /> 7. PORTABLE SIGNS not exceeding 32 square feet in area may <br /> be displayed a maximum of 30 consecutive days for the <br /> purpose of advertising a new business on the PREMISES <br /> where the SIGN is located. <br /> 8. Non-electric PORTABLE SIGNS not exceeding 32 square <br /> feet in area may be displayed a maximum of 30 days <br /> within any 12-month period for the purpose of <br /> advertising an activity or event on the PREMISES where <br /> the SIGN is located. <br /> 9. OFF-PREMISE SIGNS not exceeding 32 square feet in area <br /> may be displayed on anyone PREMISES a maximum of 14 <br /> days within any six-month period for the purpose of <br /> giving directions to the location of a non-profit or <br /> charitable activity or event. <br /> 10. OFF-PREMISE SIGNS not exceeding 12 square feet in area <br /> may be displayed on anyone PREMISES a maximum of 14 <br /> days within any six-month period for the purpose of <br /> giving directions to the location of a residential real <br /> estate sale, auction, or open house. <br /> 11. Searchlights, whether or not continuously illuminated <br /> during the period of their USE on a PREMISES, may be <br /> displayed a maximum of 4 consecutive 24-hour periods, <br /> and in no case more than a total of twelve 24-hour <br /> periods per year, on anyone PREMISES. <br /> Sec. 4=4.PeXJllanent. QN.=PREMISESIGNS. <br /> The display of permanent ON-PREMISE SIGNS shall be <br /> subject to the following specific standards with respect to <br /> operational and physical characteristics, as applicable. <br /> :l. ARCHITECTURAL BLADE SIGNS shall not extend above the <br /> highest visible roof line, or above the maximum <br /> allowable height for POLE SIGNS on the same PREMISES, <br /> whichever is greater. <br /> 2. AUTOMATIC CHANGING SIGNS shall function only as <br /> COMMUNITY INFORMATION SIGNS. <br /> 3. AWNING/CANOPY/MARQUEE SIGNS and BANNER SIGNS in the CBA <br /> ZONING DISTRICT shall extend no closer than within 18 <br /> inches of the vertical plane formed by the nearest curb <br /> of a public street, and in all areas shall maintain a <br /> free clearance of at least 9 feet when located over a <br /> pedestrian walkway and at least 12 feet when located <br /> over a vehicular drive. <br /> 4. CHANGEABLE COpy SIGNS shall function only as BULLETIN <br /> BOARD, community information, or BUSINESS SIGNS. OFF- <br /> PREMISE SIGNS are not CHANGEABLE COpy SIGNS. <br /> 5. ELECTRIC SIGNS shall have a power disconnect switch <br /> located on the exterior of the SIGN or accessible <br /> through an openable cover, and shall be labeled with a <br /> sticker or other notice on the exterior of the SIGN to <br /> indicate the voltage and amperage of electrical <br /> circuits connected to the SIGN. <br /> 6.
