;pp HALFF <br />ATTACHMENT A <br />PROPOSED SCOPE FOR DESIGN <br />Water & Wastewater Relocation Design for the RR 12 Improvement Project <br />San Marcos, Texas <br />PROJECT DESCRIPTION <br />The design services for the water and wastewater relocations on RR 12 include: <br />• 1,040 if of 8 -inch wastewater from Craddock Avenue to the east <br />• 95 if of 8 -inch wastewater crossing RR 12 <br />• 3,675 if of 8 -inch water from Craddock Avenue to W. Holland Street <br />• Decommissioning of two lift stations <br />TECHNICAL STANDARDS AND PROCEDURE ASSUMPTIONS <br />Page 9 <br />• Microstation and/or Geopak computer applications will be used for all design and plan sheets <br />produced on this project, as well as the following: <br />• City of San Marcos (COSM) Standard Specifications and Details <br />• Texas Department of Transportation Utility Manual <br />• Design of traffic control plans will conform to the version of the Texas Manual on Uniform Traffic <br />Control Devices, Texas Department of Transportation Standards, and COSM standards that are <br />expected to be in effect at the proposed time of construction. <br />Task 1: Design Phase Services (60 %/90% /100 %) <br />1.1 Meetings: <br />1.1.1 Participate in 4 project meetings with city staff, key design team members, and \or <br />stakeholders as project progresses. <br />1.2 Permitting: <br />1.2.1 Obtain necessary permits from TxDOT (Form 1082: Utility Installation Request) <br />and TCEQ (if required). <br />1.3 60% Design Plans <br />1.3.1 Halff will prepare the 60% design plans for the water and wastewater line <br />improvements including the following: <br />• General notes <br />• Quantities broken down by page <br />• Water design plan sheets (no profiles, a typical detail will be required for <br />utility crossings) <br />Old RR 12—Design—Option 1 <br />
