An <br />airport is certainly no exception, and it should receive constant <br />SUJ:Vei.llance by ~ and experienced management. In addition to <br />the basic advantages of safety, efficiency, and OPerational control, <br />the economics of the operation can be directly enhanced through <br />resident ~ The 00rden of tenant relations, enforcement of <br />city ordinances, rules and regulations, house-keeping, and improved <br />operaticm are far better accommodated in residence at the airport. <br /> <br />In response to the recommendations of the previous Master Plan, the <br />City of San Marcos has retained a full time manager for San Marcos <br />Municipal Airport. This manager is charged with the specificnresponsibilities of managing the airport's physical and financial <br />positicm. <br /> <br />T~ng PolJ.cy <br /> <br />Review of the existing leases at San Marcos Municipal Airport <br />indicates that the current leasing policy could be modified to provide <br />increased benefits to the City and airport users, and also provide <br />additional revenues for airport operation and development. <br /> <br />9.9 <br />
