The number of people drawn to the Airport who do not directly use
aviation services, i.e. sightseers and other visitors or people
picking up or delivering passengers to the airport, etc., is
substantial and we estimate the numbers currently visiting the airport
to be approximately 16,000 to 18,000 visitors annually. The projected
number of visitors over the 20 year planning period is shown in the
followinq table.

Table 1.8 v.ISntR ~ (nOOO)

Year

1985
16-18

1995
28-34

1990
22-25

Visitors

2005
62-73

In additicm to known aviaticm visitors, it is estimated that the air-
port has potential for the employment of a substantial number of
people in direct suwort of aiIport operations and aviation activity,
such as aircraft maintenance, servicing, flight training, etc. In
addition, however, there is potential for other airport development,
in aviation related or in unrelated activities, and the airport
facilities should aocamnodate these activities and their related needs
as well. It is not unusual for an airport with the physical
attributes, operational profile and activity predicted for San Maroos
to employ 100 or more full time employees.

Aub,...ihile PaJ::Id.Dq P-:p'''I~~~ts

Parkinq requirements for 2005 will increase to 462 spaces.
