Thus, future facility requirements should include <br />ocosi.deration for a st:ralg functional relationship between the FBO's <br />and transient parking areas and the auto rental and return areas. <br /> <br />VW"n,lA'1'" Activity <br /> <br />Forecasts of vehicular activity at San Marcos Airport are essential to <br />the environmental assessment of airport improvements that may result <br />in increases in automotive traffic, and to determine the necessary <br />i.mpI:ovements in access roadways, internal circulation roadways, and <br />parking facilities a1 the airport. <br /> <br />Traffic will be generated primarily by aircraft-related activity. <br />However, there will be other airport development that will have <br />potential for increasing the amount of vehicular activity occurrinq on <br />the airport. These factors, in combination with increased <br />urbanizaticm around the airport, may have significant influence on the <br />level of traffic activity a1 roadways serving the airport. <br /> <br />Bcwever, this study addresses only traffic that will be generated by <br />aviation activity improvements located within the airport boundaries. <br /> <br />Table 1.10 shows estimates of vehicular activity resulting from <br />aviati.a1/industrial/oommercia1 activity at San Marcos Airport over the <br />planning period.
