<br /> CITY OF SAN MARCOS <br /> ELECTRIC TARIFF <br /> ISSUED BY: SHEET NO. <br /> <br /> EFFECTIVE DATE: REVISION NO. <br /> <br /> MEDIUM GENERAL SERVICE <br /> RATE SCHEDULE - MGS <br /> MONTHLY RATE (continued) <br /> The above rate per kWh will be adjusted plus or minus in <br /> accordance with the formula specified in the Power Cost Adjust- <br /> ment Clause. The amount computed at the "Monthly Rate" shall be <br /> subject to taxes, assessments or surcharges imposed by any gov- <br /> ernmental authority which are assessed on the basis of revenues <br /> from electric service or volume of electricity purchased or sold. <br /> MINIMUM CHARGE <br /> The monthly minimum charge shall be the sum of the "Customer <br /> Charge", the "Demand Charge" and all applicable rate adjustments. <br /> PAYMENT <br /> The due date of the bill shall be fifteen (15) days after <br /> issuance, and payment must be received in the electric utility <br /> office of the City by 5:00 P.M. on the due date. Any and all <br /> amounts remaining unpaid after the due date shall be assessed a <br /> charge in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the unpaid amount. <br /> DETERMINATION OF BILLING DEMAND <br /> The IIBilling Demand" each month shall be the greater of the <br /> following: <br /> a. the highest kW demand established during any 30 minute <br /> period during the month; <br /> b. 65% of the highest kW demand established during the <br /> immediately preceding 11 months; <br /> c. 30 kW. <br /> POWER FACTOR ADJUSTMENT <br /> The monthly metered demand may be adjusted to an equivalent <br /> 90% power factor for billing purposes when the power factor at <br /> any point of delivery is determined to be less than 90%. Such <br /> adjustment will be deferred for six months at a new point of <br /> delivery to allow for corrective action by the customer. <br /> FINAL DRAFT 9/5/86 - 7 - <br />
