<br />(16) <br /> <br />(17) <br /> <br />(18) <br /> <br />(19) <br /> <br />(20) <br /> <br />(21) <br /> <br />(22) <br /> <br />(b) <br /> <br />Has had any of the hereinafter listed compounds found <br />in his/her process waste stream during regular sampling <br />and testing by the Director; or <br /> <br />(c) <br /> <br />Has a wastewater average of 180,000 gallons per <br />or greater. <br /> <br />month <br /> <br />National Pretreatment Standard - By the term National <br />Pretreatment Standard, Pretreatment Standard or Standard is <br />meant any regulations containing pollutant discharge limits <br />promulgated by EPA in accordance with Section 307(b) and (c) <br />of the Clean Water Act of 1977, which applies to industrial <br />users. This term includes prohibited discharge limits <br />established pursuant to Title 40 Code of Federal Regulations <br />Part 403.5, or as amended. <br /> <br />Normal Waste - By the term Normal Waste <br />which, when analyzed, indicates that: <br /> <br />is <br /> <br />meant <br /> <br />waste <br /> <br />(a) <br /> <br />The concentration of BOD in the waste will not exceed <br />200 milligrams per liter (MG/L) average over any 24- <br />hour period or will not contribute BOD at a rate which <br />would exceed 1,668 pounds of BOD per million gallons of <br />sewage per day; <br /> <br />(b) <br /> <br />The concentration of suspended solids (SS) in the waste <br />will not exceed 200 milligrams per liter (MG/L) average <br />over any 24-hour period or will not contribute <br />suspended solids at a rate which would exceed 1,668 <br />pounds of suspended solids per million gallons of waste <br />per day: and, <br /> <br />(c) <br /> <br />The <br />450 <br />hour <br />would <br />waste <br /> <br />concentration of COD in the waste will not exceed <br />milligrams per liter (MG/L) average over any 24- <br />period or will not contribute COD at a rate which <br />exceed 3,753 pounds of COD per million gallons of <br />per day. <br /> <br />Other Wastes - By the term Other Wastes is meant solid or <br />viscous substances such as, but not limited to, ashes, <br />cinders, sand, concrete, mud, straw, shavings, metal, glass <br />rags, feathers, tar asphalt, plastics, rubber, rubber <br />products, wood, whole non-human blood, paunch manure, hair <br />and fleshings, entrails, lime slurry, lime residues, carbide <br />wastes, slops, chemical residues, paint residues, asbestos, <br />bulk solids, grass clippings or tree trimmings. <br /> <br />Owner or Occupant - By the term Owner or Occupant is meant <br />the person who pays, or is legally responsible for a payment <br />of water and/or wastewater charges made against a plot, <br />parcel of land, building office premises, if connected to <br />the water distribution system and/or the wastewater <br />collection system maintained by the City, or who should pay <br />or be legally responsible for such payment if so connected, <br />or who is in control of, or having responsibility for, the <br />daily operation of the facility of activity occupying the <br />property. <br /> <br />Person - By the term Person is meant any individual, <br />business entity, partnership, corporation, governmental <br />agency political subdivision, or any other legal entity. <br /> <br />pH - By the term pH is meant the logarithm of the reciprocal <br />of the hydrogen ion concentration. The concentration is the <br />weight of hydrogen ions, in gram-equivalents per liter of <br />solution as measured and calculated in accordance with <br />standard methods. <br /> <br />Treatment or Pretreatement - By the term Treatment or <br />Pretreatment is meant any approved method, technique, or <br />process, including neutralization, designed to change the <br />physical, chemical, or biological character or composition <br />of any hazardous waste so as to neutualize the waste, or so <br /> <br />-3- <br />
