Funding constraints requires that <br />the type of legal matter or the category of law for which legal assistance can <br />be provided, be restricted to insure that competent and complete legal <br />services can be properly rendered. The following priorities will be followed: <br /> <br />PRIORITY ONE: Emergency Cases for San Marcos Residents. Legal Aid will <br />handle the cases involving residents of the City of San Marcos on a priority <br />basis, where such cases involve protection of sexually or physically abused <br />children or spouses, cases involving imminent foreclosure and/or eviction, and <br />cases involving ~a.ck of ..food and/or health care. <br /> <br />PRIORITY TWO: Emergency Cases for Hays County Residents. Legal Aid will <br />handle the cases involving residents of Hays County, where such cases involve <br />protection of sexually or physically abused children or spouses and cases <br />involving imminent foreclosure and/or eviction and cases involving lack of <br />food and/or health care. <br />PRIORITY THREE: Routine Cases for San Marcos Residents. Legal Aid will <br />handle routine civil cases for San Marcos residents involving family law, <br />housing, real estate problems, and such other problems which are not construed <br />as I fee-generating' cases. <br /> <br />PRIORITY FOUR: Routine Cases for Hays County Residents. Legal Aid will <br />handle routine civil cases for Hays County residents as permitted by staffing <br />and funding limitations. <br /> <br />. Priority One cases will be taken first. If there is any <br />tlme left after Priori~y One cases are taken care of, Priority Two, <br />Three and Four cases wlll be taken in that order. <br /> <br />3 <br />
