On roll call the following vote <br /> was recorded: <br /> AYE: Coddington, Farr, Guerra, Nicola. <br /> NAY: None. <br /> ABSTAIN: Younger. <br /> Mayor Younger introduced for consideration approval of an appointment <br /> of a liaison between the City of San Marcos and Lower Colorado River <br /> Authority (LCRA). Mr. Farr moved to appoint A. C. Gonzalez and Mr. <br /> Nicola seconded the motion. On roll call the following vote was re- <br /> corded: <br /> AYE: Farr, Younger, Guerra, Nicola. <br /> NAY: None. <br /> ABSTAIN: None. <br /> Mr. Coddington did not vote on this matter. <br /> Mayor Younger introduced for consideration a public hearing to consider <br /> annexation, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS, ANNEXING TO SAID CITY A TRACT OF LAND <br /> CONTAINING 1.44 ACRES SITUATED IN THE R. H. WILLIAMS <br /> SURVEY ABSTRACT NO. 470 AND THE T. J. CHAMBERS SURVEY <br /> ABSTRACT NO. 2 IN HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS, SAID 1.44 ACRE <br /> TRACT BEING A PORTION OF THE REMAINDER OF A 232.1 ACRE <br /> TRACT OF LAND DESCRIBED IN A DEED TO MILTON DANIEL <br /> BUIE PROPERTIES PARTNERSHIP AS RECORDED IN VOLUME 399, <br /> PAGE 326 OF THE HAYS COUNTY DEED RECORDS, SAID LAND <br /> BEING LOCATED WITHIN THE EXTRATERRITORIAL JURISDICTION <br /> OF SAID CITY AND LYING ADJACENT TO PRESENT CITY BOUN- <br /> DARIES¡ APPROVING A SERVICE PLAN FOR SAID TRACT; EX- <br /> TENDING THE BOUNDARY LIMITS OF SAID CITY SO AS TO INCLUDE <br /> SAID TRACT; GRANTING TO THE INHABITANTS OF SAID TRACT <br /> ALL THE RIGHTS AND PRIVILEGES OF OTHER CITIZENS OF SAID <br /> CITY; BINDING SAID INHABITANTS BY ALL OF THE ACTS AND <br /> ORDINANCES, RULES AND REGULATIONS OF SAID CITY AND DE- <br /> CLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> Mayor Younger opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to <br /> speak in favor or in opposition to the Annexation. No one did, so <br /> Mayor Younger closed the public hearing. (Mr. Brown present at 7:40 p.m.). <br /> Mayor Younger introduced for consideration a public hearing and approval <br /> of an Ordinance on first reading, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS, M1ENDING GENERAL ZONING ORDINANCE OF <br /> THE SAN MARCOS CODE OF ORDINANCES BY ADDING TO SECTION <br /> 35H. (3) (a) A NEW SUBSECTION 5. PROVIDING FOR RESERVA- <br /> TIONS OF TABC SPECIFIC USE PERMITS IN THE CENTRAL BUSI- <br /> NESS AREA, AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> Mayor Younger opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to <br /> speak in favor or in opposition to the amendment. Penny Peck stated <br /> she is in favor of the amendment, as she wants to see the quality of <br /> restaurants brought to San Marcos. No one else wished to speak in <br />
