M. VERAMENDI SURVEY NO. <br />1, SAN MARCOS, HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS, BEING A PORTION OF <br />THAT TRACT DESCRIBED AS 88.28 ACRES, IN A DEED FROM <br />ISOM H. HALE AND T. L. WEATHERS TO ADVENTIST HEALTH <br />SYSTEM/SUNBELT, INC. DATED APRIL 20, 1981 AS RECORDED <br />IN VOLUME 356, PAGE 676 OF THE HAYS COUNTY DEED RECORDS, <br />AND LOCATED ON THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF WONDER WORLD <br />DRIVE AND WEST OP HIGHWAY 123 FROM "R-l" (SINGLE-FAMILY <br />DWELLING DISTRICT) TO "MP-3" (MULTI-FAMILY DISTRICT); <br />AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.. <br /> <br />Mayor Younger opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished <br />to speak in favor or in opposition to the Ordinance. Patsy Greiner <br />was present representing the developers of the property and stated <br />the neighbors had withdrawn their petition of opposition. She stated <br />the Zoning Commission had downzoned their request from MF-4 to MF-3 <br />but that the area is appropriate for MP-4 zoning. Steve McGowan stated <br />he lives in Mockingbird Hills and felt the developers are concerned with <br />their neighborhood and that the neighborhood does not have opposition <br />to their plans. He stated the developers have assured them there will <br />be no streets cut through to their subdivision. Ralph Gonzales stated <br />he has property adjacent to this property and has concerns where the <br />runoff from three-story buildings will go and increased traffic. He <br />does not. feel their proposed street will alleviate the increased traf- <br />fic. No one else wished to speak in favor or in opposition, so Mayor <br />Younger closed the public hearing. Mr. Farr moved for adoption of the <br />Zoning Ordinance and Mayor Younger seconded the motion. Mr. Coddington <br />asked the City Attorney's opinion if Randy Rogers' letter was considered <br />representation before the Council. Mr. Hankins will request the Ethics <br />Review Commission give an opinion to written as well as personal appear- <br />ance. Mr. Coddington stated he would not vote on the Ordinances before <br />the Council for this reason.
