<br /> The second step was the preparation of a land use map for the Service <br /> Area. Selection of land use patterns was based on several sources, including <br /> draft amendments to the City Master Plan, intrinsic constraints and <br /> suitablllties of natural resources in the area, recent development trends, <br /> locations of existing and proposed roadways and developments within the <br /> Service Area, land plans of the two proposed MUDs, and the professional <br /> recommendations of planners and market analysts working for the Clty and <br /> developers of the proposed MUDs (see Table 2). The land use map served as a <br /> reasonable basis for determining the amount and spatial distribution of <br /> future water demands throughout the Service Area, even though It may not <br /> necessari ly be adopted as an amendment to the Clty Master Plan. <br /> Table 2.
